Life took me on other journeys over the past year, away from blogging. It’s useful though by offering fresh views on modern nutrition. Love it!

I continue to discover how vitamins and minerals and modern supplements are the answer to many of our problems. Usage means stronger bodies before anything can go wrong and then usage also means power to fight when something does.

Malabsorption. Ever heard of it? It’s common. The body’s digestive tract is a mess for many people. If there are GI problems, perhaps better supplementation will strengthen the body, be available for production of enzymes, cell generation. Then the strength total will be greater. Meaning, the body will better metabolize foods, have building blocks for immune cells, would healing, energy production.

Vitomatic SuperPowder is a dreamy product for helping many body functions in a small dose.

I was impressed and thankful that these substitutions for common food allergies are becoming easier to find. This and the vegetarian bistro at the market were both good options if wheat free or dairy free is what is needed. Keep a look out.

Some allergies to food can sadly be deadly, but others may just cause annoying reactions. Itchy skin or gross stomach rumbles and reactions do occur. What to do? Here's just a simple suggestion to get things started. AVOID the food believed to be an issue for one to two weeks. Skip it. Don't let it sneak into your body in any way, not by mouth or nose. Know mixed foods the allergen might be used, because they too are off limits. Try to find out other names the food industry uses for that product. The industry can be tricky. Keep notes. Are the symptoms gone? What makes food allergies so common these days? Will the industry take note and make amends or will they go about their business making more business for themselves? Educate yourself.

This is a big word. It's sometimes called BMR. I'd think Burn Me Rate makes it more clear what BMR means. Its the burning rate of energy for just the vital parts. In tune, "burn me burn me, work this body, work this bodeeee........" Medicine defines these parts very specifically and can be understood in great detail. It's really like sleeping and cooking on simmer. That's good, the body's supposed to be working this way. A "burn me rate" or basal metabolic rate fluctuates. Say that ten time, whew!. It goes up and down in interesting waves. Up with foxy muscles and down with stressors and previously eaten foods and liquids. So when a basal metabolic rate number is given, it means all of this and then some. Really, it makes sense that if you consume less than this number of calories in meals and drinks and grab and go's daily, the body will require more energy just to hang out. Thus....."burn me burn me, work this body, work this bodeeee........", a good path to be on if weight loss is necessary.
