food allergy thoughts

Allergies to foods are running rampant.  Seems to be showing up all over.  The cause of the food allergies are numerous, including genetics, chemicals in foods and environment, diseases.  There are a plethora of ideas to help combat food allergies.  Strong education is important for any family which includes someone who has allergies.  Recipe books specific to food allergies are a great source for substitution suggestions.  Recently, at a local market, I found a spice section that sold arrow root powder. I was impressed and thankful that these substitutions for common food allergies are becoming easier to find.  This and the vegetarian bistro at the market were both good options if wheat free or dairy free is what is needed.  Keep a look out.

SEASONINGS galore!!!

I am thankfully finding some great seasoning options while perusing through the madness of what we call grocery shopping.  Lemon and lime juices are always good, but salsa and “seafood cocktail” sauce are super tasty and super low in calories.  A real find….

such nerve!!!!

I cannot believe that Coco Cola is raising it’s soda prices.  What a slap in the face to the drinkers of this useless beverage.   How can such a cheap quality, low nutritional valued product even suggest that more money should be given to them?  Isn’t it ever enough take?  A higher price demands a better quality product. Rise up and save your money.  Drink water instead.
